Floris van Bommel De Stapper G lace-up shoe for men. This running shoe has fine stitching on the front. The blue sole is made of wear-resistant TPU material. The heel is divided by a dovetail connection into a cushioning TPU part and a luxurious leather part that is finished with 6 copper nails. The lining of the shoe is made of top selection calf leather. This variant is made of supple dark brown suede that is colored by hand in the shoe factory. The leather comes from a tannery in Chiampo, Vicenza, Italy. The shoe is sewn through according to the Blake method.Floris van Bommel about De Stapper for men:“The design on the tread of this sole is the new version of an idea that we had on the bottom of a sole about 10 years ago. These are the names of all our employees here in our factory in Moergestel. I had no intention of doing this again until I was at the cremation of an employee who worked with us for 12 years. Insanely sad, of course. During the commemoration, someone close to her told an anecdote. It showed how, while drinking coffee, they sometimes looked for the name of the employee on the bottom of that old sole. I decided on the spot to make a second version. So... at the bottom of this shoe: a tribute to the people who make our shoes, with a nice place in the middle for the name of the deceased colleague.'
